What better place to hold a wedding than one of the oldest wineries in the Hunter Valley, Wyndham Estate. And who best to feature as the bride and groom than my own brother, Daniel, and his gorgeous wife Alicia! I think everyone was a bit worried about the weather – it was raining all morning and then no sooner had the wedding finished then a storm rolled in, but there was no rain for the occasion and it made for some beautiful lighting. Being family meant I wasn’t the official photographer, but it was an honor to have the opportunity to take a few of my own photographs of the day.

The setting was gorgeous – set amongst the vineyards around Hunter Valley.

Rather than the traditional pageboy and flowergirl, Alicia and Daniel decided to do something completely different. They invited 7 young children (my children Ashton & Savannah included) to take part in their ceremony where they would be escorted between the reception venue across the field in brightly coloured clothes for the girls and handsome little suits for the boys. They were all holding balloons (themed colours of course) and Alicia’s mum was group leader!

The walk to the ceremony

Just to complete the picture perfect wedding, Alicia chose to arrive in style in a horse drawn carriage along with her dad and maid of honor and sister, Lauren.

The weather was at it’s prime during the ceremony. Daniel was a big softie who shed a few tears when he saw his beautiful bride as she walked towards him.

Daniel didn’t have to be asked twice to kiss his gorgeous wife!

Once and for all as a family they stood to accept their marriage certificate. I was grinning from ear to ear to see them so happy and their little boy, Ambrose, was fascinated by just how pretty mummy looked!

The gardens around Wyndham Estate weren’t extravagant, but there were some beautiful wide spaces and lane ways that made for some perfect photographs.

You can never go wrong with gorgeous green vineyards as a back drop for beautiful photographs!

The Kiss

One of the highlights of Wyndham Estate for a wedding venue is the background of green sweeping plains and vineyards that ran alongside a river.

Congratulations guys! It was such a beautiful wedding and I’m so happy that you have chosen each other. You make such a great couple and I’m proud to have Alicia as part of our family. Hope you enjoy the photographs!
